LFC: The players we need to chip in with the goals till January

21 days until the January transfer window opens.  Until then we have 4 very important Premier League games to reach the 4/5/6 place and climb up to those european places. That is why we need some of our strikers to chip in with the goals until then (not including Luis Suarez). These are some Brendan could look to.:

1.

Jonjo Shelvey

He has proved it against West ham (although the goal wasn't given to him). He has an eye for the goal and can be in the right place in the right time. Can he play instead of one of those usual 3 in midfield though? Or can he play alongside Luis and Raheem upfront. He can guarantee goals though.

2.

Raheem Sterling

Already a regular for Brendan, we really need to start seeing the goals coming from this young lad. Turned 18 a couple of days ago and waiting for a new contract to come up, can Raheem get a few against these lower teams in the next couple of weeks?

3.

Joe Cole

Starting to come good finally for Liverpool, Joe Cole can be Brendan's wildcard to get the goals. Earning 100k a week, this has gotten alot of Liverpool fans screaming for him to leave, but until January, can he prove some fans wrong? He might have already started to with his strike against West Ham at Upton Park.

4.

Steven Gerrard

His form might be going down as he ages, but Steven Gerrard is still captain fantastic and can still chip in with goals from midfield. What he has done for the club is unbelievable and with Lucas back in he can advance more and try and get more goals for the reds.

5.

Adam Morgan

The young lad has been oustanding for the under 21's and is top scorer in the league, but hasn't yet made his debut for the senior squad in the Premier League. Can Rodgers risk him in the next couple of games.? He can play on the right side of attack too as we have seen for the under 21's. A lot of potential but can he deliver ?

There are more you can debate about. The likes of Suso,Yesil,Ngoo,Assaidi etc..., but there are mine. January is not too far away and with these games coming up we can soon see Rodger's reds start to climb up the table.

LFC : Who's in and who's out January 2013 (Updated)

In:

1.

Edinson Cavani (25,Striker,Napoli)

The ideal striker to bring in ,in my opinion. He's got an eye for goal and him and Suarez work a treat for Uruguay. The Uruguayan FA could part fund the deal to get Cavani and Luis playing together. If so, we've got a huge prospect in our hands. Is 35 million too much for the owners though?

Price Tag : 35 Million

2.

Daniel Sturridge (23,Winger/Chelsea)

One of the two that has stayed in the list from summer,Daniel Sturridge has fallen out with Chelsea after being left out of the striking line by Torres. Rodgers seems to want him. Alot of people might argue that he is selfish but i think he has got the skills and finishing that would power us up the table.

Price Tag : 12 Million

3.

Theo Walcott (23,Winger,Arsenal)

Another one from the list of the summer. Theo Walcott has always been a Liverpool fan and would cherish the move, but he still wants to prove himself at Arsenal and he might stay as recently Wenger has come out and said that Theo is about to sign a new contract for the club. Could that all change though? Brendan is a huge fan of Theo and he has always wanted to sign the young lad.

Price Tag : 15 Million

4.

Thomas Ince (20,Att Mid,Blackpool)

Who would have thought i'd be putting this man in my list? Just a year after King Kenny let the young lad go, Brendan has come in with an 8 million bid for him. He has been on fine form for Blackpool and has been called up with the England under 21's. Could he be up for a return to Liverpool or can the likes of Man U prize him away?

Price Tag : 8 Million

5.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (29,Striker,Schalke)

He and Suarez had scored 56 in 69 games for Ajax, and He looks a bargain at 6 million. He's got pace and an eye for goal. Does he want the move though and will the reds beat Arsenal for his signature?

Price Tag : 6 Million

6.

Ali Al-Habsi (30,Goalkeeper,Wigan)

This guy has been proving unbeatable at times last season and so far this season. He has been on Rodgers radar, but Martinez was quick to deny reports and said that the 30 year old is not for sale. Could he be the one to be fighting off Reina and Jones for their places?

Price Tag : 7 Million

Out:

Joe Cole (Sell)

Joe Cole has had a very poor career with Liverpool, and with a 100k or so a week wage, he's had Liverpool fans fuming . The 32 year old has been put out in Europa League games to attract other teams. A must sell in my opinion come January time.

Jordan Henderson (Sell)

Some may agree, some may not. I certainly don't agree that he should be sold. The young england under 21 captain has fallen down the pecking order in the center of midfield with as many as 5 ahead of him. I think we need to be patient with this young lad as he will reach his potential soon enough.

Stewart Downing (Sell)

What a huge disappointment it has been for Stewart, coming in for 20 million last season, he has failed to find any form , his last premier league goal coming against Liverpool on the last day of the season a year and a half ago. Could we get as much as we hope for him or is it too late to cut as much of our losses as possible?

Pepe Reina (Sell)

This isn't even close to happening. Pepe loves Liverpool and i agree he should stay, but with 2 keepers being linked,Doni poised to return and Jones in good form,Pepe could find himself fighting for his place. He is still number 1 and will be for quite some time though.

It has been a rebulding process for Brendan so far this season. It's seen it's ups and downs...but can that striker be the difference for the reds and push us up fighting for that 4th place were we belong? We certainly need goals and experience in our team.

LFC: 5 players we could go for in the January transfer window

1.

Demba Ba (27,Striker,Newcastle)

Must be top of the list in my opinion. One of the best finishers around,at 7 million,he sounds like a bargain. Liverpool are currently failing to finish off their chances in the league this season and I think Demba Ba will be an excellent fit to Brendan Rodgers style. He is good with his feet and also a very good header of the ball.

2.

Daniel Sturridge (22,Winger,Chelsea)

Not alot of people would agree with me on this one. Left out of Chelsea's and England's plans, Daniel Sturridge has fallen out of favour and Liverpool are ready to pounce. Chelsea want 15 million for him and we could be set to match that. A lot of people call him an arrogant and selfish player, but I think he would get his head down and work hard under Brendan Rodgers. Could he be the one who starts delivering for the already fans favourite Luis Suarez?

3.

Wilfried Zaha (19,Winger,C. Palace)

A big emerging talent at only 19,Wilfried Zaha has caught the eye of many manager in the top flight. Already a regular in Stuart Pearce's England under 21's, he offers a lot of pace and trickery. Imagining him and Sterling on the other side is a very mouth watering prospect. Would we really pay 20 million for a 19 year old who hasn't proved it in the Premier League yet though?

4.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (20,Keeper,B.M'gladbach)

Not a must buy for Brendan Rodgers, but with Pepe Reina not delivering and now looks to be injured, we don't have a real quality backup. (No disrespect to Jones and Gulacsi). This young talent wouldn't cost us too much and would make Reina fight for his place which would mean him showing that bit more. I think he would be an important buy for Liverpool.

5.

Theo Walcott (23,Winger,Arsenal)

This wing wizard makes it to the last of my 5 as he is the least likely to join. In Summer you couldn't say the same but now he has almost pledged his future to Arsenal after saying he wants to emulate Thierry Henry in an Arsenal shirt. He has always been a Liverpool fan and Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of his. His pace can give defenders alot to worry and all he needs is to regain his confidence.

Most of you will be wondering why I only put up 1 out and out striker on this list, when striker's are the problem we have, with Borini not firing and injured, Yesil could be in line to face Reading. Sturridge and Walcott could play that attacking role but we only need 1 real main striker as we have the pace of Suarez and Sterling to help out in other positions.

LFC : Who's in and who's out Summer 2012

In:

Winger:

One of LFC's biggest problems this season has been goalscoring and that comes from creating out wide . Stewart Downing hasn't been his best so far this season and has got no assists out of 57 chances created. Here is a couple of winger's names that would fit in well in Liverpool FC.

Eden Hazard (21,Lille)

This Belgian magician is a huge prospect and is being scouted by alot of the top european clubs. His pace along with his trickery would make a very big difference in LFC's title charge. Also, we could have a slight advantage with the acquisition of Hazard as his club have our loanee Joe Cole and can influence the deal with a possible money + player. Look out for this player in the Premier League soon.

Iker Muniain (19,Athletic Bilbao)

Were can i start with this one. Winner with the Spain U21's championships in summer,Iker Muniain is definately one for the future. Wanted by a lot of big clubs and a very skilful player, he would be a great present for the likes of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, who are struggling with the goals at the moment. We have also seen him destroy and dominate one of the best clubs in Europe, Manchester United.

Ezequiel Lavezzi (26,Napoli)

One of the best talents in the Serie A,Lavezzi has put Napoli up in the ranks as one of the best in Italian football. He has recently spoke about his love for Liverpool FC and how he would jump at a move to Liverpool. If i was King Kenny, i would definately try get this player as he is silky and a bag of tricks . And if we get his team mate Cavani along with him,we could be unstoppable.

Striker:

One of Liverpool's biggest faults in their pursuit of the Premier League title has been their lack of scoring. Too much draws at home and far too little goals to be one of English's best. Here is a couple of striker's that would make Liverpool FC put their goal tally up.

Roberto Soldado (26,Valencia)

3rd highest goalscorer in the La Liga this season after Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Soldado is one of La Liga's hottest prospect's. Having just broke into the Spanish team in the place of low firing Fernando Torres, and got a hat trick in his first game , LFC have been tracking this striker for a long time. But would he be willing to join us or stay in Spain?

Edinson Cavani (25,Napoli)

One of Lavezzi's teammates at Napoli, Cavani is by far one of the best around. Being Luis Suarez's team mate in the Uruguayan national team could be a bit of an advantage(as we've seen with Coates). His Strikes against Chelsea and Manchester City in this season's Champions League have shown he has no fear. One too look out for definately.

Edin Dzeko (26,Manchester City)

One of the most unlikeliest to happen from our list, if Andy Carroll leaves or goes out on loan this summer, we might be in for another tall striker upfront, and you don't get much better than Edin Dzeko.Unfortunate not to get enough games for Man City, Dzeko scores a lot of goals when he is on the pitch , but with a 27 mil price tag, we never know what will happen.

Out:

Jamie Carragher (Retire)

A lot of people will disagree with me on this one, but in my opinion , Jamie Carragher has overrun his time in an LFC shirt. With Skrtel and Agger dominating the two CB positions and Coates coming up the ranks,it's hard to find a place to fit Jamie in. He will still always be a legend in the red shirt and we all look up to him as one of the best defender's to grace a Liverpool shirt.

Dirk Kuyt (Sell)

The man for the big occassions has saved us in alot of games this season . He won us the Carling Cup with his goal in extra time and scored the winning goal against rivals Man United in the FA Cup. But we all know that if we get a new winger and striker, Deadly Dirk won't get as much games as he used to. A great talent tho and will be a regular starter in a lot of top european clubs.

Charlie Adam (Sell)

One of the newest members of the squad, Charlie Adam hasn't developed as well in an LFC shirt. This is in my opinion that he still has the mentality of being in a Blackpool shirt and that never helps when playing in a Liverpool shirt. He has a great crossing ability and does create alot of assists.

Maxi Rodriguez (Sell)

This i definately disagree with, but Maxi Rodriguez isn't getting enough games for a talent such as he has and might leave in summer. I disagree with this because i think Maxi is a huge talent and i think that he should play much more. He is a great goalscorer too and you need that in a midfielder. I definately think he will leave this summer as he didn't seem to happy as they took him off in the previous FA cup match against Stoke.

Andy Carroll (Loan)

Before you start hauling abuse, read the word i put after his name. It's not been the best of seasons for Andy Carroll. His price tag combined with his lack of goals hasn't put a smile on the new 35 million man. Loaning him in summer to a lower team would boost his confidence , especially if we get a striker that would replace him. There is no doubt that Andy Carroll is a great talent for the future.
